SW Washington fishing report
SW Washington- Cowlitz River flows dropped to 5,290 cfs on February 1 and have remained fairly steady. Steelheading is being slow. Smelt dipping will be allowed from the bank only from 6 a.m. until noon each Saturday through March 1.
As of February 17, no Chinook may be retained until further notice on the Kalama River from mouth to the upper hatchery, the mainstem Lewis River from mouth to forks and the North Fork Lewis River from mouth of forks upstream to Merwin Dam.
Walleye fishing will resume in The Dalles and John Day pools when the Columbia River settles down.
