Washington fishing report

SW Washington – The signature fishery this year will be the Wind River and Drano Lake salmon effort. With large returns forecast and dam passage ramping up, catch rates have increased significantly in recent days with excellent prospects in the coming weeks. This area is relatively small so stress levels can take away from a quality experience for these prized springers.

On the Wind River itself, the daily bag limit has been increased to 2 fish per day.

Catches are improving on the Cowlitz and Kalama Rivers but effort remains light on the Lewis.
