Washington fishing report

SW Washington – Washington anglers are in full pursuit of Wind River and Drano Lake chinook. Catch rates are down significantly but sporadic afternoon bites are being reported on some days.

On the Cowlitz, Lewis and Kalama Rivers, catch rates among anglers and return rates at local hatcheries are far below this years expectations. Cold water may be to blame and anglers are hopeful that the coming weeks produce the results that are more typical for this time of year.
